In July 2016, David Catherwood, a highly valued member of the Cycle4Christ (C4C) Cycling Club, was tragically killed in a cycling accident. In July 2017, in his memory, C4C organised the inaugural “David Catherwood Memorial Sportive“. C4C are planning to run the sportive again in July 2019.
As last year, there are two routes available – 61 miles (one mile for each year of David’s life) and a shorter 34 mile route. The event will raise funds for the CLIC Sargent cancer charity.
