David Catherwood ’61 Challenge’

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1594111182302{margin-top: 20px !important;}”]Unfortunately due to the current situation it is not possible to run the David Catherwood Memorial Sportive this year, instead, Cycle4Christ along with CLIC Sargent are launching the David Catherwood ’61 Challenge’.

Usually our sportive covers 61 miles (one mile for each year of David’s life) – so this year we want you to….

– cycle anytime between 11th and 25th July 2020
– use ‘6’ and ‘1’ as the theme – cycle 61, 16 or even 1.6 miles or km.
– cycle inside or outside; on your own or in a small group.
– Like the event Facebook page ‘David Catherwood Memorial Sportive’ and post photos of your cycles.

If you cycle indoors and use ZWIFT you can join the ’61 Challenge’ ZWIFT ride on 25th July @ 9.30am
The 61km route covers 3 laps of the ‘London 8’ route…..including 3 times up Box Hill !!
Just follow ‘Dale Gordon‘ on Zwift and you will be sent a ‘Meetup’ invite one week before the event.

CLIC Sargent NI need us more than ever, we are raising VITAL funds for the 2 Home from Homes in Belfast. Paul & Amy’s House, they are located close to the cancer treatment centres at The Royal & City Hospitals in Belfast.

These homes are used by the family so they are close to their child whilst they have treatment. Due to Covid-19 the charities funds have seen a significant drop. They receive no government funding and rely only on donations.
